In the webcomic Strange candy, (Not on smackjeeves) They explain that with the concept of hammerspace. Like, In the beginning, this girl is super peeved and she pulls out a giant hammer, hitting a boy on the head. Then another girl is like "WTF, where'd you get that hammer?" and this manga obsessed girl is like "ZOMG you have access to hammerspace?" And it becomes this big joke throughout the comic.
